Joomla events upcoming in October
Written by Alex Kempkens
It is really amazing how many contribution people give to the Joomla! project that are not developing of code. And is really great fun to see how much these contributions are honored by the community - you. One of the areas in which you can see this community contribution for the community are the events which go around the world.
The most recent events took place on the West Coast of the USA, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Thailand. Three of these events have been organized by the regional community and presented Joomla! during one of the exhibitions and conferences to a very broad audience. The Joomla!Day in Mountain View took place already the second time and was very much fun as far as reported back.
For the last three month in this year Joomla! will travel again. End of this week you will be able to enjoy Joomla during the Joomla!Day in Hungary, a week later your travel destination is Johannesburg and after that you better by in Istanbul. These events are just the remaining three for October. In November there are already two Joomla!Days scheduled one for Switzerland and one in Sweden. If we move on this pace I'm pretty sure some new event will popup in December as well.
I like to use the opportunity to start a little call for Joomla!Day registrations for 2009. We have already the first applications and also known events confirmed us that they will organized a new event again. If you are interested to organize a Joomla!Day in your country or region please get in touch with us using the events forum. We will support you with a mentor and additional events related material to make your event as easy as possible. And I'm pretty sure it will be great fun meeting the people near you, all loving the Joomla project.

In phpLDAPadmin I click "Create a child entry" in the users OU, select Default and I can see the JoomlaUsers entry in the ObjectClasses list, but it isn't bold. There's a hint in that page "Hint: You must choose exactly one structural objectClass (shown in bold above)". I proceed and enter the values
RDN: cn
cn: test
JoomlaGroup: Registered
mail test@test.com
User Name: test
User password: 123
givenName: test
sn: test
And I get the following error message:
LDAP said: Object class violation
Error number: 0x41 (LDAP_OBJECT_CLASS_VIOLATION)
Description: You tried to perform an operation that would cause an undefined attribute to exist or that would remove a required attribute, given the current list of ObjectClasses. This can also occur if you do not specify a structural objectClass when creating an entry, or if you specify more than one structural objectClass.
If I try to do the same in Apache Directory Studio it shows another error:
LDAP: error code 65 - no structural object class provided
Could anyone help me? I feel like I'm missing something basic here.
