JSST Is Coming...

We over here at Joomla are preparing a new team...  The first letter of the name is obvious (Joomla!)...  The second stands for "Security"...  The rest will be left for the official announcement which should be sometime this week if all goes to plan.  We (Joomla!) do take security VERY seriously, and have always taken it seriously.  However, events of late have really proved what we have known for a long time;  That we need a dedicated team just for handling core security.  The wheels are in motion, and more information will be available as the steps unfold.  So for now, suffice it to say that JSST is coming...

    The minds behind Joomla are amazing. Thank you all for providing such a wonderful and powerful tool. And thank you for being so dedicated and vigilant in improving Joomla.

    As far as I'm concerned, Joomla is THE killer app on the Internet.

    Joomla allows someone with a little motivation to establish their own enterprise/business and to improve their living condition.

    Whether that enterprise is a blog, ecommerce, entertainment, music or news site, the average person can establish an internet presence that's professional, high-powered and high-quality.

    Joomla is a tool for empowerment. More of the general population should know about that.

    Thank you to all developers, testers, designers, forum moderators and anyone else responsible for this amazing thing called Joomla. Thank you all.

    Thank for giving the security issue a new focus. In the job of keeping Joomla! continuing at the top in it`s field this is a must for all of us that are concerned about security.
