Site Showcase Team Looking for New Members
Written by Ron Severdia
If you haven't visited the Joomla Site Showcase yet, you're missing a collection of some of the best Joomla sites out there. We've just broken 1000 sites (congratulations to our 1000th site, the Junction Motel in Australia), many of which are great examples of sites in over 100 different categories. Check it out here:

We're looking for new community members to join this team. What's expected of team members? A few simple things:
1) Spend a small amount of time each week verifying site submissions. The process is quite simple and you'd ne
2) Decide what the Site of the Month will be. Each month, the team discusses what the best site is for the month. Past winners are here: http://community.joomla.org/showcase/sites-of-the-month.html
3) Familiarize yourself with the Showcase Guidelines. All submissions need to adhere strictly to them.
4) Occasionally, answer community questions on the Joomla Discussion Forum about the showcase or problems with submissions.
That's it. We communicate via Skype so you'll need to be on it to share information. If you're interested in joining the team, email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
NOTE: Submission period has expired. Thanks for the overwhelming interest!

Not sure where the best place to post this comment would be so I figured I'd give this a try. My question concerns the turn around time for verifying sites. I submitted a site I did under the non-profit category a few weeks ago and have not heard from anyone. I am fairly certain I followed all the correct guidelines etc. and I don't think the problem id with the actual verification but more with the fact that there seems to not be anyone available to verify it in a more timely manner. Hopefully the addition of more members to take part in the site showcase verification process might speed things along a bit.
Not so much a complaint as an expression of disappointment in the delay of having my site up in the showcase...oh well...
Which brings me to the question: Is there anyone who I can contact regarding this? Could someone look into it or are there just not enough people helping out that are available to do so?
Again, not trying to give anyone a hard time, just curious and a little impatient I'll admit...
