With all the current hype over the FIFA World Cup it's easy to forget that there are any other types of football. Rugby Union is a full contact sport played with an oval ball, but unlike American Football the players are not protected by crash helmets and body armour. Whilst traditionally Rugby Union has been a men's game with fifteen players on each side recent years have seen the introduction and uptake of the women's game. Additionally a shortened format with seven players has grown in popularity and will be an Olympic sport in London, 2012. The Scottish Rugby Union is one of the oldest Governing National bodies for the game and they use Joomla! for all of their web sites.
The sites are a mix of Joomla! 1.0 and 1.5 installations with a variety of extensions being used including Virtuemart and JoomLeague. |
