Congratulations are due to two Joomla websites in San Diego, U.S.A.: The Port of San DiegoPortofSanDiego.org was selected as an "Official Honoree" in the 14th annual Webby Awards, which recognizes the best work displayed worldwide on the Web. That places its work alongside six othew media organizations: New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, CBS and National Geographic. Find out more here. Glenn Batuyong, part of winning web team, says that the site uses Joomla 1.5, utilizes a custom-built template based on Beez and incorporates many 3rd party plugins like Disqus, YOOcarousel, and YOOslider. The Port is a public agency and its website averages about 35,000 visits and 95,000 pageviews per month.
